Beyond the Western Deep

To our readers in the United States and around the world who celebrate Thanksgiving, we hope you had a wonderful one! I’ve been spending the last few days in Colorado celebrating it with friends (and also spending a little downtime catching up on various side projects). There was turkey, cranberry sauce, various kinds of pie, and also I tried this new candied yam recipe that was ON POINT.

But enough about Thanksgiving shenanigans! Mitra and Janik have shenanigans of their own to contend with, courtesy of Beck and Rook (mostly Beck).

In honor of Thanksgiving and the imbibing of all manner of food and drink, I thought it appropriate that our guest art piece this week feature food of some manner. Here’s a fun little gif from Holt5 that shows Quinlan drinking in the Land’s End Tavern!

The pixel art and animation style remind me a lot of the classic adventure puzzler Prince of Persia on the old Apple II! I love these little pixel art pieces that Holt5 did for us, and I think I have one or two left to share with you in the future.
