Kenosh may have dissociated himself momentarily from his past deeds, but Bevan (and we) certainly haven’t forgotten why the canid are really chasing them. Sure, if they’d only slipped through Deltrada and embarrassed the canid troops that would no doubt bring the patrols down on them. But murdering a canid general along with a litany of rank-and-file soldiers?

Yeeeah they’re going to hunt you down with everything they have.

If only somebody had mentioned that to Hardin two chapters ago, maybe–

… Oh.

Sorry, Kenosh. Looks like maybe you missed the memo. But he’s a smart guy, he probably had the whole thing planned out in his head and was fully aware of the wide-ranging ramifications of what he was getting into–

… Oh.

ANYWAY, let’s share some guest art, hm?

This wonderful piece of guest art was drawn by reader Gotter6, who was inspired by the early 2015 JRPG Tales of Zestiria, one of the many expansive titles in Bandai Namco’s long-running Tales series. Check it out!

I personally haven’t played Zestiria, but I do know that Quinlan and Dakkan here are portraying the title’s protagonists, Sorey and Mikleo–who, like Quinlan and Dakkan, are childhood friends who wind up going on a grand adventure together. If you’re not sure how accurate Gotter6 was able to get to the source material, allow me to pull up a reference image (the cover of the manga adaptation)

That looks pretty spot on to me! Right down to Mikleo/Dakkan’s six side buckles (what is it with JRPGs and the buckles?)

Thank you SO MUCH Gotter6! It’s super cool seeing Quin and Dak “cosplaying” as different characters in different IP’s :)
