FOOL OF A YURK!

Whoops! See, that’s the problem with these ancient sarcophagi–there’s just no elegant, whisper-quiet way to open them. Once again, the combined strengths of Jerome’s incredible artwork and Rachel’s wonderful lettering really go a long way to sell the wildly uncomfortable sensation of a very loud thing happening in a very small, enclosed space.

We just celebrated Thanksgiving here in the States, and I’ll be honest, I’m pretty sure I’m still suffering a bit of food coma a day later. It’s okay–I’ll survive, but yowza, that was quite the celebration!

This year, I took it upon myself to do a whole Thanksgiving spread–turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, roasted carrots, and candied yams. Of course, because I’m insane, I went with Binging/Basics with Babish recipes for most of them, which made them a bit more elaborate than usual. Also I’d never roasted a turkey before, so dressing a 15 pound bird was a little imposing. STILL! Everything turned out great, and we ended up with very few leftovers!

I take carving the Thanksgiving turkey very seriously, as you can see.

ANYWAY! I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a wonderful one.

For guest art this week, I wanted to share some wonderful sketches by Jay Quincy aka Starlightsktchs! Check out these fun character pics!

Crim, Dakkan, Janik, and Quin! They all look like they’re having a real nice time! Except for Crim. He looks a little miffed about something. Can’t imagine what it could possibly be.

Thank you so much for the fantastic art, Jay! I found a few other fun Western Deep-themed pieces floating around the interwebs, so I’ll probably post those up in the coming weeks!

Have a great weekend everyone!
