Beyond the Western Deep

Okay so, when I said I wasn’t dropping any hints about this sequence playing out like a level from Uncharted? I was lying. That was a lie. Clearly whenever you leap onto an ancient column, the rule is that column MUST topple over. I don’t make the rules, I’m just following the “Uncharted Ancient Tomb Excursion Adventurer’s Guide,” which is a definitely real book that I didn’t just make up.

Those sandskimmers are really working for their dinner. Part of me thinks that Cain and Yurk constantly escaping their razor-sharp mandibles is actually super unfair to these apex predators. I mean, if these two goofballs can get out of becoming a meal, who’s going to take the sandskimmers seriously?

Anyway, time for some KICKSTARTER UPDATES!

Eeeey it’s animated! That’s pretty cool, right? Trust me when I say this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to cool Kickstarter stuff.

Since our readers here have been waiting so patiently for news (heck, since our first Kickstarter campaign!) I figured we would drop a few sneak peeks here this week to tide you over. Let’s start with the pin! Like I said a few weeks ago, after Quinlan and Dakkan made their enamel appearance, we figured we’d follow them up with the only character to grace every single one of our covers: HARDIN!

This is the artwork we’ll be sending off to the pin manufacturer, following the “chibi-fied” redesign of Quin and Dak, we get to see our noodly little murderer looking more adorable than he ever has!

This pin will be included in most of our mid-to-high-end bundles, and we’ll even have a STRETCH GOAL to possibly bring Hardin a pin pal and turn all solo pins into a two pin set. CHECK IT OUT:

Next Wednesday, one week before we launch, we’ll be releasing a fun Kickstarter-related surprise via social media (you can follow along on my Twitter feed at http://www.twitter.com/tdcpresents) and then next week, instead of a page, we’ll be releasing the FULL KICKSTARTER PITCH VIDEO several days ahead of time, along with our entire pledge sheet, so you can check out the options before anyone else.
