Door?

Door?

Door?

DOOR!

Yes, but a door to WHERE?

The answer, it seems, is down.

That’s the problem with these ancient buried cities lost to the sands of time–things that you expect to still be around, like stairs, are just suddenly gone. Makes getting around the place a lot trickier, and also leads to a lot of falling.

Cain and Yurk have done a lot of falling in this tale. Maybe it’s because it’s a metaphor for their luck, or their status as wandering vagrants throughout the Four Kingdoms.

Or maybe it’s because I think it’s funny to see them flailing around like a never-ending Uncharted game over scene. There’s also that possibility as well.

KICKSTARTER STUFF!

I’m just going to make this its own section like this whenever I have updates about the Kickstarter–and that’s about it for updates this week on Kickstarter stuff :)

Seriously, though: we’re currently waiting for the Kickstarter funds to disburse and are building out a pre-order store on BackerKit for folks who missed the campaign or who might want to add additional items to their pledges.

Once the store is set up and we have a proper link, you can rest assured we will be featuring it here rather prominently!

GUEST ART!

For guest art this week, I wanted to take the opportunity to share some incredible REAL WORLD PHYSICAL ART that user Holt5 produced! I present… THE QUINLAN ARMY!

Lookit these guys! I think they all turned out great. Here’s a close-up shot:

Obviously we’d love to produce actual, real physical figurines someday–but until we’re able to make that financially feasible, these sorts of smaller-scale independent efforts get us really excited. After all, it’s QUINLAN and he’s REAL! How is that awesome?

Thank you so much for the wonderful work, Holt! Someday I’ll have to try and get my hands on one of these! :)
